Melrosa is a three-piece bistro set, built in solution-dyed rope over a powder-coated aluminium frame. The main piece is the bistro chair. Bistro sets are the entry price point: small cartons, high turnover, and they mix easily with heavier furniture in one container.
Small sets get handled more than anything else in a showroom or a garden, so the joints take more abuse per kilo than any other line. The aluminium frame is welded and powder coated in-house, so colour matches across a repeat order instead of being re-matched each time. Seat and back cushions are cut and sewn on site, so foam density, thickness and fabric can change without changing supplier. The bistro chair measures 67.5 x 68 x 79 cm.
Frame colour, weave tone and carton artwork are open, and the set can be re-proportioned for a specific market. Popular as a mail-order and e-commerce item; drop-test cartons and reduced pack sizes are available at a quoted adjustment.
